Re: Applications are the future
@batye that is really awful. The company ought to be forced to refund that money and charged with fraud.

Re: Applications are the future
@Ariella for me it was a scam by ica.net as during 1 year contract - where ica.net said I get  unlimited internet... they change the rules saying you are using too much unlimited internet... and did charge credit card 6x times more, what was written in the contract... in Canada many Co. like ica.net - do get away with this type of scam... - just my humble opinion...

Re: Applications are the future
@batye We do get a warning about promotions ending, but what is really dumb is that the carriers won't budge on that even when you tell them that you'll leave. In my area, there are only two providers for high speed internet: Verizon and Optimum. Both use the same tactic and only offer lower prices again after you've made the switch to the other carrier.

Re: Applications are the future
@mhh1ve - I sincerely hope we never see capped limits on all broadband usage. Or even just pay as you use. The ability to have WiFi is a financial savior for most of us. Though the seemingly endless amount of greed in this country would certainly make it seem like that reality is just down the road.
