What many companies fail to understand is that one consumer may have multiple likes, i.e. a consumer may want to view linear TV one day, the next day they may want to use OTT, the next they may want to use pay for TV, the next streaming video. Companies are hurting themselves by trying to place labels on consumers assuming their interests will remain the same or assuming their interests are the same 24/7.

Companies that have shifted their business practices to accomodate millinneals will face problems when these millinneals become generation Xers.

Users from all generations are exploring options that are avaiable to them such as Amazon Prime, Netflix and VOD.

Flexiblity and quality of service are key to implementing services and features to consumers.


Companies must remember that change happen, nothing stays the same forever.
