Definitley not easy, but if it can be done it's so worth it. Knowing who you're selling to and who's buying are very important things to know.

@batye, there's an example.  Of course they lost markets/profits in the past several years as well.  Now that they have split the company and refocused, they will be a good example to watch as to whether their HPE can deliver a true DevOps that is solutions based.

@DHagar  yes I could not agree more - good example would be hp/compaq ipaq h5550 in 2005 - it never pick up but few years after Apple created ipod and iphone with the same features ipaq have in 2005 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPAQ :) go fugure what consumers want - now ???

@batye, true - there are lost of variables.  That is the value of DevOps Cultures that bring those cross-functions together into a unified effort to produce what the customer wants - that's where the value is.  On that, there should be no question; otherwise, what are you paying people to develop?

@DHagar I would say it all depends as what is work in one Co. not always work for the other... plus in my opinon where is too many other factors in play...

@vnewman  I love to watch original "Undercover Boss"  but now in Canada we got Canadian - "Undercover Boss", never less Developers do need someone to verify they product at the end....
