Re: Integrated Bill
@freehe:

Companies would generate more revenue it they actually obtained input from customers about the products and services they want and/or need.

Excellent point.

That customer input plays very big role than it is thought of. In general it is very inetresting to see findings that dev community is developing applications as per their own thoughts but not to satisfy customers needs. That is where user experience teams now are playing critical role in enterprise world.

Good points! I always think that businesses would do so mch better if they took what consumers have to say about prices, products, etc.

Integrated Bill

Finally, they get it. An integrated bill saves time, money and resources. It streamlines the billing process for the consumer. It reduces paper, ink, production and helps the planet.

Let's see what else they come  up with from all the many suggestions their customers have provided to them that have not been implemented yet.

Re: Integrated bill
Merging your bills is definitely a big draw. Coupled with scaling out with other partners in the beginnings of an ecosystem back in 2013, one Japanese operator was billing its customers for groceries received.

Although "kind of beyond" the scope of deliberations, i am curious to see how they manage the outlying areas--and trying to deal with the effects of climate change and how that factors into their long-term planning.

As I read her thoughts, the one thing that struck me was how she noted Geography was not the challenge--especially in Alaska--proof to me that Technology can truly work wonders.

Integrated bill
<This project will include the integration of our cable billing platform with our wireline -- Internet, mobile, local and long distance -- billing platform, enabling us to provide customers with one invoice for all telecom services.>

Back in the day, we did a lot of researech into consumer preferences, and what they wanted from a triple-play bundle. Interestingly, getting a single bill for all omms/entertainment servcies ususally ranked first. Operators needed to add a discount to actually get them to do anything (like switch) but the single bill was seen as the biggest benefit.
