Re: Century Link Nowak
Agreed.

Consumers always want thinks quick and cheap. Well if you can't give them something quickly then you have to make sure the prices are right and this is what they're doing! I think it'll grab a lot of people's attention..

Great info. here
@Mike - fantastic post. It's rare to get such insight into lessons learned from service providers, they tend to focus on how visionary they are (or their PR handlers do). Some of the lessons learned are very interesting, and no doubt useful for others going down this path.

Re: Century Link Nowak
As an "end user" I always am on the prowl for the best deal--and to leverage my dollars as best as possible--and if CenturyLink pulls it off, more power to them.     The commoditization of Telcos is forcing them to be innovative and adapt.   Fascinating to be witness to it all

Century Link Nowak
Customers always want less expensive services. By offering less expensive services than their competitors SD Wan can capture more of the market share by attracting new customers and upsell to existing customers.

This seems like a WIN for Century Link.

Re: SD-WAN
I would humbly suggest that being at the forefront of transformation means to be Strategic--think about GE, for instance.    Although the legacy of power that Edison began still endures (nuclear power; aircraft engines; etc.). Edison won't recognize today's GE.  It goes to what Andy Grove Noted--only the paranoid survive.

Re: SD-WAN
What I would suggest @Bayte is this: As long as it is strategic especially as we are witness to a transformation away from a hardware-centric world which many of the legacy players are trying to painfully adjust to.

SD-WAN
SD Wan makes it easier with their point to point network and is is less expensive than the other competitors with broadband service etc. so this is a plus for century link in a way.
