Re: Telcos & Cloud Strategies
@freehe, exactly.  They are limiting their offerings and capabilities unless they fine-tune with the enhanced capabilities they can deliver with cloud strategies.  Most companies are including cloud into their plans for both short-term and long-term solutions - so it is a natural fit.

Customer Experience
I believe it is possible that traffic spikes with exist within networks with new portable devices being developed that allow for low-cost or free streaming as well as new generations of consumers coming onto the market in the next 5 to 10 years. The demand for video and streaming data will continue to increase.

Customers all want a better experience and it is great that telcos will be able to fine-tune the resource allotment process while also improving the network efficiency of enterprise cloud services.

The old model is dead. Companies must develop new business models to remain competitive, keep existing customers and obtain new customers. Customers now want options, and lots of them. This is forcing companies to offer multiple products and services such as cloud, network and applications services.

@DHagar, Good point that cloud strategies may help the telco industry. Some of the leaders are off to a great start but many are lagging behind and need to revamp their strategy.

Re: Telcos & Cloud Strategies
@Mike, excellent vision and opportunities for telcos.  The ability to fine-tune their services and deliver the user capabilities, versus the functional options, enables them to focus and provide a high-quality service.

I think cloud strategies may actually reboot the telcos industry and enable them to play a vital role in delivering new services of value to the customer in connecting with technology, using data, and connecting key network capabilities.

A great future!
