@mhh: Angry Birds?  Bejeweled?  Facebook/Twitter/Instagram?  Filemaker Pro (in a meta sort of way)?  Interesting question.

Re: not amused
Spreadsheets were definitely a key app for the growth of the PC market, and I'm not sure what the killer app was for smartphones and tablets?

Re: not amused
@mhh: Indeed, the PC was doing pretty well long before Excel.

Additionally, it's interesting to note how time makes various "killer apps" not quite obsolesce but certainly age ungracefully.

Re: Specialty verticals
I chose Small Business simply because I think they need to be a differentiator more than anything else.

Re: Productive Video
@freehe Sounds like a solid plan. There's still a chance your favorite device/service is shut down in favor of something with higher margins

I choose the large companeis option because they typically have the budgets to implement costly services such as elearning and virtual training.

Re: not amused
I think there's a myth about the "killer app" for various kinds of tech.. maybe the PC wouldn't have taken off as fast as it did without "excel" spreadsheets, but I think it would still have taken off... so maybe there's not a killer app for other areas of tech, either.

Specialty verticals
I chose the option for verticals with specialty needs -- because they'll have all those needs PLUS the standard needs of the other options above.

This is an area I haven't thought about before. Is there a best-use case?
