Re: WOW has potential
How frustrating! In San Diego, Amazon had its regular delivery (now with free next day or same day options for some products), prime pantry (which seems to be for smaller "pantry" type items), prime now (which has a more limited selection of products from the site, grocery store, and restaurant delivery options delivered for free in 2 hours or less), and prime fresh (which costs extra and seems to be like prime now, except only groceries). And now they offer incentives (like $5 credit for music or prime pantry) if you select the "no rush" options. But stuff that comes through USPS always seems to get delayed here too - without the excuse of customs!)

Re: WOW has potential
@Ariella in Canada Amazon trying it best to ship on time... but Canada Post and transfering from Customs create long delays in delivery... everyone on Canada Post website you could see this message: "Important: We're working hard to process and deliver record holiday parcel volumes as quickly as possible. In some cases, customers may experience a delay in delivery. We continue to devote extra resources to serve you and apologize for any delays." I do hope one day Canada Post use the same model of delivery as USPS... :)

Interesting name, WOW...
I like how WideOpenWEST.. doesn't actually cover the West? I guess that's why they go with WOW. I went to see if they were available in my neck of the left coast.. but apparently, they cover parts of the mid-West and Southeast. Maybe they'll expand to the West someday..? Its headquarters is in Denver, but it no longer serves the Denver market.

Re: WOW has potential
@batye I sometimes wait that long for my Amazon orders. They're very inconsistent about delivery times. Also sometimes I order several things in one order and have some arrive the same week while others only arrive a week later than that. I suppose it has to do with where they are warehoused. Now if each item were tracked through IoT, you'd know exactly where it is and when it's traveling and how far away it is from your home. We do have the technology to do that, but I don't think it will be implmented for these standard consumer goods for quite a while yet.
