Re: Network predictions
@dlr5288 I would prefer to see this technology becomes a little more simpler this way it would get more adoption and at the end we would see more progress... but this is how I see it...

Re: Network predictions
I think it's inevitable that technology will keep advancing and becoming more and more complex.

@dlr5288 I trust we are living in the new age of technology where change is a constant and I do hope we gonna keep moving forward and do not end up like programs of space exploration...

Re: Network predictions
That's what I think is so interesting about technology. It's always evolving and changing no matter how many times it's been changed or altered before..it keeps moving forward.

I agree! And I think either way you'll learn what works and what doesn't.

Re: Network predictions
I can see not wanting to take a risk like that in the case that it wouldn't work out. However sometimes you got to take risks in order to learn and move forward..

Another vote for bandwidth
For me the takeaway from the article is that all the other attractive changes -- better more responsive consumer service, reduction of internetwork barriers, greater use of the cloud -- rest on more bandwidth. I think Mr. Grivner's focus is dead on: the need for and the deployment of bandwidth is about to become a revolution in how we think about business enterprises.

I'd only add that the processing-side equivalent -- throughput -- will probably become another important area, just as soon as there's enough bandwidth to allow us to see that problem as well.

Re: Network predictions
@Carl, that is the "secret sauce".  Being able to focus on the customer and solve their problems is KEY.  The providers that do not do that will just become another commodity, trying to distinguish themselves on limited functionalities.
