Re: AT&T Cloud concerns
@dir5288, exactly!  It is thinking at a different level (frequency?) as opposed to linear.  We have to rethink, design, and discover the capabilities and the values it delivers to fully utilize the potential that exists.

Exactly! I think the Cloud can fit in so perfectly, but we haven't come up with the best place for it yet.

Re: AT&T Cloud concerns
@dir5288 - well said.  We have to think in terms of the transparency that comes with networks, as well as the interdependencies.  Once we factor that in we can decide where it is appropriate to network and where we need autonomous control.

Re: AT&T Cloud concerns
I totally agree! I think that the Cloud opens up so many new opportunities for us in technology! But, like you said, we just have to be careful with how we handle it.

Re: AT&T Cloud concerns
@dir5288, a "networked" world, which is what the cloud offers, is totally different that the controlled environment of independent company servers and networks.  The great capabilities and cost savings achieved through shared technology creates a new entry into the enterprise through these various new channels.  We have to discover those vulnerabilities in order to build roadblocks and increased protection.

It is worth it but is a different environment!

Re: AT&T Cloud concerns
Very true. It's something that we're always going to have to worry about one way or another unfortunately.

Re: AT&T Cloud concerns
@dir5288, exactly.  It is more about "learning" about your environment and the vulnerabilities than trying to control it.

And security can be lacking in many ways. Depending on what device you're using. So it's easy to understand how difficult it can be to keep security under control.

Re: AT&T Cloud concerns
@dir5288, very true.  True security now is less about controlling the risks than discovering, creating barriers, and alerts to the risks so that you can control how you are impacted by your environment.
