Re: OTT
@vnewman I thought so, too. Are all 12 in one area or scattered all around?

Re: Netflix
@Ariella - Lol, well, I'd group these as even more mindless than sitcoms, but you have a point. I actually challenged my sister-in-law to watch one of my sons favorite YouTube videos. It's 9 minutes long and she was able to make it a whole minute. I did give her credit for trying.

Re: OTT
As an aside, do you know there are still about 12 Blockbuster stores left in the country?  I thought they were completely gone!

Re: Netflix
@vnewman - I haven't heard of it, but I'll check it out! My oldest son's tablet controls when he can access the tablet, and for how long. I can even require that he spend a certain amount of time "reading" books on his tablet before he can access any of the games or entertaining videos. But I can't specifically block YouTube channels, like "Sparkle Spice."

Re: Netflix
@Ariella - the way my kids access YouTube, it doesn't work. They'll watch it on my phone, or their tablet, which has the parental controls built in, but they're already "kids" videos, so they get by the blocks. Mostly, I find the videos insanely annoying, and that's one of my biggest complaints. The content isn't really "bad" it's just generally mindless and annoying.

Re: OTT
I still think discovery could be improved on Netflix. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I do know I can find what I am looking for a lot easier on regular television. The search and browsing functionalities on Netflix should have more of a thematic guide UI.

Re: OTT
Their original content simply makes Netflix a "must have" to more people than these other services at this point.

Re: Netflix
@Elizabethv - have you heard of or looked into the Disney Circle Device and App?  It essentially lets you determine what your children can access online, when they can access it, and for how long.  I'm trying to assess whether or not I want to deploy it at home or if I'm just looking for a device to do my dirty work for me.  :)

Re: OTT
I couldn't agree with you more, there is so much and it just keeps coming since OTTs are not beholden to traditional seasons. I don't want to use this as a promotional platform, but I actually started a review site just to talk about OTT original programming for that exact reason.
