Re: AI and IOT
The problem is what the FCC is doing which will undermine the "promise" you noted which is disturbing--and I have noted this in my deliberations.

Re: AI and IOT
@mpouraryan, that is the "promise" of the markets to see if people make other choices and/or if other smaller players begin to capture the market.

Re: AI & IoT
@Ariella Good point. A criminal intent on doing something is not easily deterred, but it certainly will be a lot easier to track them down.

Re: AI & IoT
@srufolo1 I'm not sure it will deter the criminal, but it should make it easier to track the person down. Already we have images of people identified on videos released to the public -- sometimes even on social media -- with requests for help in locating them.

AI & IoT
"Video from security cameras and body cams can be used for facial recognition but the system can also redact images from the video so that it can be released to the public for law enforcement procedures."

Remarkable. Just think what this will do for public safety and security. Someone would think twice before robbing a convenience store with this kind of technology!

Although I have as much faith as well, the faith is underscored by a sense of realism because we are depending too much on the frightful five right now...although they all have their challenges.....

Re: AI and IOT
@dcawrey, true with the evolving IoT - there is development still to take place.  I think a  lot of development is in play giving value to AI from Big Data.  When those two areas come together to provide practical uses of value, I think that is when things will begin to change and open up - with a positive compounding affect.

@mpouraryan, yes, I do have faith.  If we users apply it properly there will be true value added and create a positive outcome.  I don't think it will be passive at all.

@dcawrey Do you think most people are overly optimistic in their anticipation of the technology's arrival?

Re: AI and IOT
@DHagar The problem so far has been that this technology is just not ready for the consumer. I know that companies like IBM and Apple are working to perfect it. That's just going to take time. A lot of time if you ask me.
