Re: Must Have Digital Transformation
@clrmoney:
I hear what you are thinking. Anything comes with both positives and negatives and so is digital transformation. We just need to focus on positive aspects to ste tragets and also to analyze negatives and be cautious of potential issues that may beencountered. That way we can maintain balance and still proceed to achieve the targeted results.

Re: Bottleneck to Innovation
@dcawrey Agreed. And tht could possibly be a training issue. IT workers are no longer the guys in the rooms with the racks and servers. Everyone needs to evolve here.
Re: Bottleneck to Innovation
@dcawrey:
That is a good point. Just stepping up with infrastructure and other technology alone is not going to help companies advance. They must realize the importance of training its employees. If not folks will proceed with trail an derror approach and that's when situations will be prone to human errors.

Re: Bottleneck to Innovation
In regards to this issue about the human element: I think some of the problem can be attributed to skills that IT workers are not acquiring. Being able to listen to the customer or user is imperative today.

Re: Bottleneck to Innovation
@afwriter It will be interesting to see who ends up really stepping up to bat in their place. I can see Musk or Besos getting behind an initiative to help improve connectivity/infrastructure. Or Zuckerburg.

Re: Bottleneck to Innovation
@Faryl I think they have to step up with the infrastructure or risk extinction. It wouldn't be surprising to see at least on company fail because they couldn't keep up.

Bottleneck to Innovation
Hopefully the telco companies in the US can get behind upgrading their infrastructure to support these changing needs.
But if not, maybe we'll start to see leaders from different industries (such as the automobile industry) step up to contribute towards building an infrastructure that can help support their new opportunities.

Must Have Digital Transformation
Digital transformation may be important for new age technology and there may be a lot of value of virtual reality smart cities etc. But you have to wonder about the negative aspects of it all in a way.
