Very different customers?
I'm wondering how CenturyLink's and Level3's customers are handling the merger -- not that there is all that much overlap, but there could be a few companies who are wondering how the combo might affect their business. And since it looks like more big networks may be merging in the future, this trend of combined providers could have broader impact.

There are bound to be some hiccups in this integration, but hopefully we won't see any more outages like the one that happened due to a "misconfiguration error" causing a route leak.

@clrmoney yes, you are right as at the end they could made lots of money and it the smart move the way I see it... but time will tell we will see :)

Integration with Level 3
The operating part of integration is interesting because in order to have things running smoothly you will need order. SDN and NFV does a lot and I think it's great CenturyLink invested in Level 3 because they both can make lots of money.
