Re: Geography?
I agree. New leadership doesn't always lead to better numbers. HOwever, I do think they needed a change because they are going to need to do some catch up.

@DHagar:
Just catching up....
Absolutely, there is no such limitaion as to who can be the leaders as long as there is a valid perspective and right direction and action to put that perspective into play mode. And that is what we have been witnessing in several cases be it fiber networking, cloud or something else.

Re: Geography?
@mhhf1ve, well that does make sense. From an impact perspective there probably is some catchup to be accomplished. I would imagine that may also continue to be the case in that we don't tend to predict the regulations needed and tend to be more reactive than proactive in our tech policies.

I'm not so sure that the FCC changes in leadership will lead to more competition in the broadband market. There's some regulatory capture that was surprisingly absent in the last few years that will probably be playing catch up under the guise of "less regulation" when the result actually will lean towards a more incumbent-friendly environment.

I definitely agree with the assessment on AI - I believe that is a core capability that will only grow.
Kudos to Samsung, they are navigating well!

Re: Geography?
@mhhf1ve, deregulation would be an intended roll-back of Obama Administration regulations and minimizing the impact of regulation, I believe FCC (with an already identified change in leadership) may actually grant those licenses, and with FAA, it may be more of an minimize the impact. Either way, it will open some new doors, or windows at least.
