Hopefully if it does, that's at least a choice/option in preferences and not the default. I *think* iOS is set up so that apps need to request user permission before enabling location services.

I wonder how easily these media distribution platforms will be to replicate. Hulu and Netflix seem to be able to build out robust video distribution platforms, and Amazon AWS seems to be able to handle an impressive amount of video traffic. So it seems like it shouldn't be long before the tech advances to the point where almost any media organization could spin up a "media platform" on a cloud and expand the market for OTT video apps significantly.

I wonder: does your phone automatically transmit your location to bring you the local station for it, or would you select whichever station you want, regardless of location?

We will see how this goes in the long runb for these two sent they are tying to get together to make somthing better or offer more services etc.
