Re: Who on top
@mhhf1ve I also got the impression that Amazon has a well-established presence outside the US. That's why Box was starting its regional Zones for Europe in partnership with Amazon and only aiming to roll out in partnership with IBM later. see http://www.geekwire.com/2016/box-enables-regional-enterprise-storage-via-amazon-web-services-ibm-cloud/ It mentions Safe Harbour, which has just been ousted in favor of Privacy Shield this summer. But the new regulations are even more stringent, giving companies even more reason to store their European data in Europe.

I don't think so. I'm not sure how this scorecard's methodology works. Google is definitely catching up to Amazon, but I think a lot of startups have a default preference for Amazon. Microsoft's cloud gets the default preference for non-startups.

Re: Century Link
We use Century Link and they have a pretty robust offering of cloud services (although we don't use them for that because our large clients won't allow it). You can find a listing here: http://www.centurylink.com/business/enterprise/cloud/

Re: Who on top
My impression was that Amazon held the top spot for years. Is it losing its primacy now?

Who on top
Of course Microsoft would be at the lop with the products and services they provides and I also saw Amazon and a few others so this great for them.

Century Link
Does anyone have any information on what Century Link offers as far as cloud services?

Leaders
For someone who uses the internet for 12+ hours a day I don't embrace the cloud as much as I probably should, but I do take advantage of both Microsoft and Amazon to store documents and pictures. In my limited interaction I have loved my experience even though part of me is always afraid of a major system meltdown which would cause me to lose everything.

Hmm. Surprised..
I'm a bit surprised at where Amazon and Rackspace are located on this graph. I would have thought Rackspace would be in the bottom part of the leader section.. and I would have guessed Amazon to be a bit higher up.
I wonder if Facebook might enter the Challenger section someday.. If FB gets its drones flying and has some excess data center operations, it could be a serious threat -- if it ever wanted to get into the cloud business.
