Re: 360
@mhhf1ve - I guess mostly I'm confused. BBC Click is a television show. People are watching it on their televisions, not domed screens. So even if it is filmed in 360, how are they watching it the way the show intends? I can see certain shows or games as being successful in 360, but not a show like BBC Click. Though I have to applaud them for their attempt at being at the forefront of technology.

Re: 360
I agree! I think the 360 experience is different and can be interesting and cool, but will people actually stick with it? I don't know.

Re: 360
@dlr5288 - I can't see anyone sticking with it for any kind of a prolonged period of time. Sure it's cool as a novelty, but unless you actually created an entire show around the concept of being in 360, people won't continue to enjoy it for a long period of time. Similar to the episode of Grey's Anatomy that was a "musical" it was fun for an episode, but no one would watch 13 seasons of it....

Yes very true and I completely agree! It is cool to enjoy for a bit of time, but I don't think it's useful or entertaining enough to last very long..

Re: 360
Also I think it's probably more interesting for maybe older people just because younger people get less excited because they're so used to all this new technology. Like nothing phases them.

Re: 360
360 video seems to be the same kind of fad as 3D TV and now curved TVs.. I think curved TVs are dying out now, and 3D TV is already dead (until the next Avatar movie comes out?).

But there has to be some kind of content that will get people to want to wear silly goggles on their heads instead of plopping down on a couch...

Re: 360
@dlr5288 so you're saying that in our times younger people are actually more jaded about technology than older people?

Re: 360
I think sometimes it's hard for them to stay excited about new things. At the start younger people are pleased with a device, but after so long they want the next thing. Me and my younger sister have a six year difference and I can tell how different we are when it comes to technology.

Re: 360
Yeah I'm wondering the same thing. It's only a matter of time before people become uninterested with 360 video.

Re: 360
@dlr5288 Interesting insight. From your experience you see that just six years difference can result in different perspectives on technology.
