AT&T Waver Indigo Flag
This article is very interesting and very well explained abou the Indigo Flag. I think it will be a serious wave because the technology wil be incripted by the servers. The network will be even bigger than before and have to adjust to it and that will be pretty hard by the new network will work different with each server.

It's good (again) to see a telco/CSP combining hardware and software developments to further innovation in networking. It's been interesting to see the likes of Google and Facebook approach these tasks from the datacenter side with software, and now carriers are approaching it from the hardware and software side, too -- and hopefully, meeting somewhere with open standards.
Fortunately, the Linux Foundation can help with making the standards open.

AT&T Indigo
Wow, with 250,000% increase in its bandwidth consumption since 2007, AT&T is making the right move with its Indigo platform to alleviate that.

Re: AT&T Indigo
@dcawrey yes, you are right as with changes in technology it does becomes software problems and need to be addressed in time...

Re: AT&T Indigo
I'm very bullish on SDN helping networks run more smoothly. At this point in the technological curve, these networks need to be able to handle a lot all at once. It's no longer a hardware problem. It's a software issue that needs addressing.

@clrmoney I would say it move to the right direction on the AT&T part as new technology is a must and no other way around...
Re: Interoperability issues?
@adi I think some of this is addressed, or will be addressed, in having ECOMP in open source with the Linux System. More members, more brain power, working towards the same goals, etc.

Interoperability issues?
I'm generally a big fan of holistic approaches, so a platform that pulls together a combination of functions is attractive. But there usuaally interoperability concerns with holistic platforms. How will Indigo work with other orchestrators, AI, analytics platforms, etc. today, and also going forward, as best-of-breed solutions emerge, will they be able to replace components in a modular way?

This is great for AT&T Indigo that offers cyber security 5G data etc. So I say keep up the good work.
