I agree. I think it'll be interesting to see what happens and if security is able to get a handle on everything.

I have to wonder: How close are these plugfests in format to hackathons? Are plugfests the equivalent of a hardware hackathon?

..in the aftermath of Equifax especially, It is only a matter of time--although remember snipets of it are already here with LifeLock; etc.

The one thing security should have a handle on is the edge. This is going to be a big vector for NFV. Someone really smart is going to come along and offer protection as a service - or maybe as a product?

The NFV Plugfest is something interesting and I think it will be very useful to what they already have to offer.
